It is with great sadness that the family of the late VIOLA PIERCEY of Fortune announces her passing at the Grand Bank Health Care Centre in Grand Bank, on Thursday, June 4th, at the age of 61. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are husband, Lloyd of 41 years; sons, Christopher Piercey (Jennifer) of Ottawa & Steven Piercey (Erin) of Torbay; sisters, Shirley Matthews (Gord), Joyce Barnes (Jerry) & Denise Piercey (Edgar); sisters-in-law, Gladys Barnes & Eleanor Royle (Jack); mother-in-law, Ella Piercey; 2 grandchildren, George & William; nieces & nephews, Sherry & Michelle, Wade, Heather & Valerie, Kayla, Kaylynn & Michael; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond & Myrtle Barnes; brother, Lloyd Barnes; father-in-law, Jacob Piercey.

The Funeral Service took place at the United Church in Fortune on Monday, June 8th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery in Fortune. In Viola’s memory donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or flowers gratefully accepted.
