It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving aunt, Thelma Mae Nicholson on June 10, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late George and Mae (Beach) Wambolt.
She is survived by son, Paul (Dorothy); sisters, Janet Doran, Sydney, Marilyn 'Bucky' Ryan, New Waterford, Velzora 'Tiny' (Ernest) Campbell, New Brunswick; brother, Gordon (Monica), Mull River; granddaughters, Jillian, Jenna; precious great-grandchildren, Kiaya and Coby, who were all the loves of her life, as well as her special nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; sisters, Erna, Ada, Grace; brothers, Powley, Ace, Frank, George, Ernest, Earl, and Melvin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation took place 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 12th. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today (Saturday); both in the SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Rev Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations to the CB Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
