Clarence Chisholm
Clarence Melvin Chisholm, age 81, Fall River, NS passed away on June 15, 2015 at Ivy Meadows Continuing Care in Beaver Bank.
He is the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Sutherland and Daniel Fraser Chisholm.
Clarence was born in Moose River and graduated from New Glasgow High School.
He later met and married the beautiful Mary Ann Vacheresse of Pine Tree. They complemented each other well and were a true example of how God intended a married couple to be. They remained happily married until Mary Ann’s death in 2007 after a short battle with cancer.
Clarence was employed most of his working life with Scotia Chev Olds (now O’Regan’s) and later Bob McDonalds and Forbes.
Clarence is survived by his daughter Michelle, Beaver Bank; grandchildren Adam Chisholm, Halifax; Herb Connors and Joey Connors, Beaver Bank; brother Alden (Irene) Chisholm, sisters Elizabeth (Sandy) MacDonald, Janet Chisholm and Joan Mason.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Mary Ann Vacheresse.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, 256 King St., New Glasgow with Pastor Tim Slauenwhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodburn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Autism Society.
