Bertha Wright, 94, of Apohaqui, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on June 18, 2015.
Born in Uithoorn, Holland on December 17, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Arie and Berta (nee Rijneveld) Maat. She enjoyed watching the birds, and doing her puzzles.
Bertha is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She took such joy in her yearly visits with Annemeike.
Bertha is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family member and friends, and the staff and residents at Belleisle Creek Manor who were like family to Bertha.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Eldon Wright; her sisters: Lydia Beekenkamp Maat, Clazina van der Walls Maat, and Teuntje Liebeton; her brothers: Jan Maat and Arie Maat.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB.
A graveside service will be held in Riverbank Cemetery on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Doug Cosman presiding.
