Irene MacDonald
Peacefully at South Shore Villa, after a full life of love and laughter, in her 89th year, of Irene T. MacDonald Of Borden-Carleton. Left to mourn are her children Trena (late Bill) Oakley, Charles (late Marilyn) MacDonald, Mary (late Rick) Nelson, and Robert (Julie) MacDonald. Also left with heartache are her sister Kay (Lee) Griffin, and grandchildren John, Christie, Steven, Kelly, Ricky, Sherry, Mary and Bobby, as well as numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Meeting her at heaven's gate would have been her life partner and soulmate, John "Jack" MacDonald, parents Norman and Ethel, children Caralyn Ann and John Kenneth, sisters Nita and Velma, and grandson Steven. Irene was a veteran of the Second World War. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She raised a strong family that will miss her presence greatly. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, until visitation hours on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 6-9 and funeral mass at St. Peter's, Seven Mile Bay on Friday, June 26 at 10am. Borden-Carleton Branch #10 will hold a service of Remembrance on Thursday at the Funeral Home at 5:45 pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cape Jourimain Lighthouse Rescue Fund or the CNIB. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from all scents.
