The death occurred at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, of Irene “Eileen” Wedge of Howlan Road, aged 90 years. Born on August 18, 1922, in Woodstock, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Celina Gallant. Loving mother to Gary (Renate) Gallant; Louis (Sharon) Gallant, all of ON; Lloyd (Marilyn) Gallant, Belmont; Sheila (Ray) McKinnon, Charlottetown; Rose (Pat) McNally, Cascumpec; Wayne (Cindy) Howlan; and Sharon (Adrian) Lynch, Foxley River. Beloved Meme to Jamie, Nicole, Jennifer Gallant, Leo and Tyler Lynch, Kristie and Matthew Wedge. Great-Meme to Emma Rose and Mya Dawn Lynch. Eileen is also survived by brothers Arnett (Kathleen) Gallant, ON; Joseph Gallant, Maplewood Manor; and Gene Gallant, Charlottetown. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, first husband Edward Gallant (1957), second husband Edward Wedge (2009), brother Lorraine, sisters Esther and Bernice. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Friday, July 3, from 5-8 p.m and Saturday until 9:30 a.m. then to St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers in memory of Eileen, memorials to St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
