MAZEROLLE, LÉO-PAUL
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Léo-Paul Mazerolle, 75, of Shediac and Shediac Bridge. Leo-Paul passed away on Saturda, July 4, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 15, 1939 to the late Léo and Florida (Bourque) Mazerolle.
He will be sadly missed by his special friend, Roberte Gauvin; his three children: Rick Mazerolle of Moncton, Monique Mazerolle (Terry Bastarache) of Riverview and Suzanne Berry (Denis Leblanc) of Dieppe; three grandchildren; Michael Berry, Pascal Haché Charline Blanchard), Jesse Mazerolle; great-grandson Kalix Hache; his brother, Gerry (Anne); many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lorraine née Thériault (2006); and two sisters; Norma Saulnier (Laurie) and Bernice Melanson (Billy).
He was a past franchisee owner of Deluxe French Fries on Mountain Road in Moncton until the age of 55 when he retired spending his summers in Shediac Bridge and winters in Florida playing the game he loved, golf. He enjoyed watching hockey; he was a proud Montreal Canadians fan. He also enjoyed spending his time doing some woodworking in his workshop and going for “Sunday” drives.
At his request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, 416 Route 530, Grande-Digue on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (533-3297).
