Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Whisperwood Villa on Thursday, July 9, 2015 of Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Murphy, formerly of Mt. Stewart, in her 97th year.
Beloved wife of the late Clarence Murphy and dear mother of Clarence (Linda), Brendon (Noreen), Beverlee (Niels) Jorgensen, Wayne (Elaine), Robert (deceased), Brian (Marthe) and David (Gaelyne). Loving Nanny of Jodi, Steven, Dawn, Jeff, Lisa, Christa, Jonathan, Jenna, Jillian, Whitney, Jordan, Kirsten and great-grandmother of seven. She is also lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law, Debbie Murphy-Payie; sister, Elsie Callaghan; brothers, Harold and Everett Mitchell. She was also predeceased by her sister, Pearle Kelly.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferred to St. Andrew's Church, Mt. Stewart, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
If so desired, contributions in memory of Liz may be made to the St. Andrew's Cemetery Fund, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
