Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on July 9, 2015, aged 93, Daphne Tarrant (nee White) formerly of Bell Island. Predeceased by her parents William and Laura White, her husband, John (Jack) (1977), her son John (2010), and siblings William, Cyril and Jesse White, Grace (Thomas) Wall and Eveline (Grenville) Hunt. Leaving to mourn her children: Donald (Sandra Clarke), Leslie (Pauline), Barbara (Marvin Derksen), and Gary (Cathy). Grandchildren: Peter (Juanita) and David (Marissa Steiner) Tarrant; Melissa Tarrant; Kevin (Jenn), Stephen, and Alan Derksen; Nathan, Philip (Claire Moore-Gibbons) and Rachel Tarrant. Great-grandchildren: Owen and Nora Tarrant and Jerrie Steiner Tarrant. Brothers: Oliver (Muriel) and Gordon (Shirley) White. Sisters: Winnifred Skanes and Lydia Bennett. Sister-in-law: Angela White. Also many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Meadow Creek Retirement Centre for their kindness over the past three years, as well as the medical staff of 4 South B of the HSC.
