The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Friday, July 10, 2015, of Wilfred “Bill” Ahearn of Skinners Pond, aged 91 years. He was born in Skinners Pond on Feb. 14, 1924, the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Brennan) Ahearn. Dear brother to Austin Ahearn, Skinners Pond. He is also survived by niece Jean (Ben) Buote, St. Roche; nephews Wade Ellsworth, Nail Pond; Roger (Barb) Ellsworth, Stratford, and Glenn (Kim) Ellsworth, Edmonton, Alta. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Margaret; sister, Mary; brother, Walter in infancy; niece, Ruth; and brother-in-law, Richard. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd., Palmer Road, for visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday, July 13, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital or Immaculate Conception Church Repair Fund would be greatly appreciated. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
