COTTREAU, John William – age 82, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, formerly of Yarmouth, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 in The Meadows. Born August 20, 1932 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Jules and Ida (Doucette) Cottreau. Unable to work due to health reasons, John enjoyed tatting, playing board games and playing cribbage. He is survived by a brother, Robert (Ethel) Cottreau, Brenton, as well as by several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Fred Cottreau, Arthur Cottreau, Albert Cottreau; sisters, Jean Cottreau and May Geswell. Visitation took place from 2-4 and again from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, with prayers at 8 o’clock, both at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Fabian Ihunegbo officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth.
