McGARITY, ALICE
Surrounded by her family, Alice Dorothy McGarity, age 92, wife of the late John W. McGarity, of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, died at her residence on July 13, 2015. She was born in Young’s Cove, NB, on May 11, 1923, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Carle) Parsons.
Alice is survived by her sons: Paul and Sharon, Arthur and Myrna, Donnie and Dalene, Wayne and Shelly, Robert and Marie, and Floyd and Brenda; daughters: Jenny and Dave Edwards, Bonny and Bruce Cormier, Mary-Lou and Joe Harris, Phyllis and Murray Pickett, Dorene and Vern Robichaud, and Lily and Bob Erickson; daughters-in-law, Judy and Mary; five generations of grandchildren; sisters, Bertha and Don Carr and Thelma Cusack; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by sons, Doug and John; brothers: Everett, Ralph and Charlie; sisters, Florence and Helen.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service conducted by Rev. Brenda McKnight, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am, on Friday, July 17, 2015. Interment will take place in Narrows Baptist Cemetery.
