It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Isabelle McNeil on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in the An Cala Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Dolena (Daley) and Dan Roy McNeil.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Sacred Heart parish.
Isabelle is survived by her companion and best friend, Roy MacKinnon; her children, Edwina (Rodney) Smith, Surrey, B.C., John Fitzgerald, Burnaby, B.C., Winston 'Scott' Fitzgerald, Sydney, Robert (Laurie) Fitzgerald, Fredericton, N.B., Michael (Elizabeth) Fitzgerald, Sydney. She is also survived by her seven precious grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Ron (Eileen) Currie, London, Ont.
Besides her parents, Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, Edward Fitzgerald.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Paul McGillivray officiating.
