COWIE, VERA
The family of Vera Florence Cowie is sad to announce her passing on July 16, 2015 at Riverside Court. Vera was born January 22, 1931 to Smith and Verna Cummings.
She is survived by her stepchildren; John (Linda), Chris, William (Vivian), JoAnn (Kirk), Andrew (Carole), James, grandchildren; Andrea, Karri, Erin, Jeff, Tamara, Lisa, Michael, Brittany, Craig, Tanya, Jenna, Emily, Hannah, Jessica, great grandchildren; Taylor, Ethen, Fawyer, Mac Samuel, Rylan and Olivia, brothers; Glen Cummings (Vivian), Colby Cummings (Audrey), Malcolm Cummings, sisters-in-law; Greta, Ruth, Betty, Louise, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her husband John Cowie, a sister Marie Nelson, brothers Hayward Cummings, Hazen Cummings, Edison Cummings, Clifton Cummings and brother-in-law John Nelson.
There will be no funeral service by her request and the family will gather at Riverside Court on August 2, 2015 from 2 PM to 4 PM with interment following at the Lenentine Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Riverside Court for their excellent care over the past year, as well as, Dr. O'Leary (her family doctor), her nieces and nephews who helped her in her journey.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lenentine Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
