Peacefully, with family by her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday July 23rd, 2015, the death occurred of Florence "Florrie" Weir (nee MacKinnon), age 77, of Charlottetown.
Born in Summerside, she was a daughter of the late Urville and Elizabeth (nee Hussey) MacKinnon.
Dear mother of Julie (Brian) Carmichael, John (Mabel) Weir and Michael Weir. Grandmother to Adam, David, Michael, Jessika, Nathan and Noah; great-grandchildren Breea, Avah, Tiernen and Lexus.
Also survived by sisters Isabel and Millie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
"Nanny Florrie" to many.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John Weir; sons Donald in infancy and Jimmy; brother Albert; sister Betty; sisters-in-law Isabel Shepherd and Mae Weir.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours on Monday from 7-9 p.m.
Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre.
