ROOP, BERTHA MARIE
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Bertha Roop, announce her passing on July 23, 2015. Born in Pointe Sapin, N.B. on November 23, 1930 to the late Charles and late Phoebee (Daigle) Mazerolle.
She was a great artist, her hands were always busy with painting, knitting and sewing and she loved a great game of Scrabble. She traveled with her husband William (RCAF) and children to many air bases in Canada and Germany. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and later on great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by husband William; son, John (Gerri Blackburn) of Halifax; daughters, Joanne Lefebre of Halifax; May Ocean (Cathy Bennett) of Prospect Village; Linda (Dan Power) of Kentville; one granddaughter, seven grandsons and five great grandchildren, and a new one on the way. She will also be missed by her sisters, Viola (Yvon Daigle) of Fredericton; Sister Christina Mazerolle (N.D.S.C.) of Moncton.
She was predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Charles, Alyre, Raymond and Joseph Leonard (infancy) and sisters, Ava and Ernestine.

Cremation has taken place at J. A. Snows Funeral Home in Halifax, with funeral services to be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Church in Pointe Sapin. Reception to follow in the church hall.
