Suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2015 of Retired Sgt. Gordie L. McMurrer of Charlottetown, age 62 years.
Beloved husband of Florence “Flo” (nee Heartz) McMurrer and dear father of Koreen (Joey) Yorston and Kelly (Jason) Smith. He is also survived by three loving grandchildren Emma Smith, Logan Smith and Clara Yorston; sister, Bonnie Fitzgerald and brother, Noel (Marie) McMurrer.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
