BAIRD, JAMES WILSER
James Baird of Waasis passed away peacefully following a long illness in White Rapids Manor on August 2nd, 2015. Born January 13th, 1946, he was the son of the late Thomas and Myrtle (Ward) Baird and husband to Judi (Mills) Baird.
Jim spent his entire working career as a painter at UNB. He had a passion for Nascar Racing and loved to bowl, but most of all loved his family and friends. He could always be found tinkering away on a project and was more often found in his garage than in the house.
He is survived by his wife, Judi; his children, Mark Baird (Tanya) of Tracy, NB and Heather Davidson (Richard) of Waasis, NB; grandchildren, Zachary, Shelby, Jacob, Tanisha, Devin, Spencer and Kailey; brothers, Ralph Baird (Joan) and Howard Baird (Brenda); sisters, Jean Hanson (Hubert), Sally Estabrooks (Larry) and Mary Smith as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Linda Mack.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Brent MacDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Waasis Cemetery followed by a reception at the old homestead.
