With broken hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Gloria Weir, 52, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines on Dec. 2, 1962, she was the daughter of Gloria 'Winnie' (Ginter) Weir and the late John Francis Weir.
Gloria leaves behind to mourn her daughter, Jennifer; sons, Christopher and Steven; mother Winnie; brother, John David (Lisa); sisters, Debbie (Peter Phillips) and Cheryl Clark. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Brooke, April, Damian, Chase and David, and many nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by her father, John Francis Weir in Sept. 2013.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at 11 a.m., in Carman United Church, with Rev. Nancy Ritchie officiating. The burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
