Passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Cambridge, Ont. on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the age of 73.
Predeceased by her husband, Bernard Patrick and her common-law spouse, Stanley MacLean.
Cherished mother of Ronnie Carew (Marian), Bernice Campbell (Murray), Cherry Dixon (James) and Eddy Carew. Proud grandmother of Liann, Shaun, Chris, Candis, Mike, Mark, Kendowl, Adam, Ashley, Jennifer, Julie Ann and Tonyalynn, and great-grandmother of Mya, Mathew, Alexander, Aaliyah, Jacob, Philip, Marshall, Liam, Taylor and Jase. Violet will also be sadly missed by her siblings, Joyce Musgrave (the late Donnie), Bev Foley (Chum), Paula Coco (the late Robert), Frank Crane (Ruby) and Patsy Casagrande (Franco), her sister-in-law, Rita Harguy; her brother-in-law, Stan Margetti, as well as her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Violet Crane; her mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Edward Carew and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Margetti and Mary Murphy.
At Violet’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at 11 a.m., with the family receiving guests one hour prior.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
