GOSSE, Avalon James - Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in his 84th year. Avalon James Gosse of Masonic Park. Predeceased by his parents: Silas and Martha Ann; brothers: Eleazer and Chesley; sister: Rowena; daughter-in-law: Rita Gosse. Leaving to mourn with precious memories are his wife of 62 years: Margaret (Crane); sons: David of P.E.I, Randy (Madonna) of Hillview, Roger (Mereda) of Bay Bulls. Daughters: Sylvia Blundon (Richard) of Mt. Pearl and Lisa King (Jim) of Small Point, Conception Bay; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother: Halstead (Mabel) of QueenÕs Cove; sister-in-law: Florence Gosse of St. John’s, as well a large circle of other relatives and many wonderful friends. Special thanks to the Dialysis Unit at the Waterford Hospital, Health Sciences, Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville for his continued care over the past 10 years. Also a very special thanks to the staff of Emerald Crescent at Chancellor Park. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl, on Tuesday, February 3rd from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel, Mt. Pearl on Wednesday, February 4th at 10 a.m. Visitation will resume at Queen’s Cove United Church, Wednesday, February 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Cove Anglican Cemetery.
