Born October 15, 1924 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA and raised in Catalina, Trinity Bay, he passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family on August 15, 2015 at Chancellor Park. He is predeceased by his first wife Joan (August 18, 1988), parents William and Annie, five brothers: Wilf, Ran, Doug, Gus and Max; one sister Winnie. Leaving to celebrate his life with loving memories are his second wife, Dorothy; his only daughter Linda (Roger Guest); two sons: Paul (Jean) and Phillip (Joanne); also his beloved grandchildren: Harold (April), Michael (Michelle), Christopher and Andrew, and his precious great-grandchildren Coedy and Hope. He is survived by brother Peter, sister-in-law Olive Haynes and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn one step-son David Gale (Eula), step-grandchildren: Susan, Katie and Laura and adorable little Nora. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Emerald Crescent at Chancellor Park for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, August 19th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 20th 10 a.m. to Noon. Funeral Service will be held at St. Augustine's Church on Westerland Road Thursday, August 20 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
