SIMMONDS, William Thomas - (March 13, 1915 - February 2, 2009). Passed away at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, February 2, 2009. Predeceased by his first wife Marjorie; parents Sgt. William and Lillian Simmonds; sister Ruth and son-in-law Thomas Knight; sister-in-law Nellie Snook. Leaving to mourn with fond and lovely memories his wife Lillian; daughter Gloria; son Robert (Dayna); brother Douglas (Joan); brother-in-law Clarence Snook; sister-in-law Joyce Andrews. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd from 7-9 and Wednesday, Feb. 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from St. Luke's Homes Chapel on Thursday, February 5th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Reception will follow at St. Luke's Homes at 12:30 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in William's memory may be made to St. Luke's Homes or to the Church Lads Brigade (CLB).
