Rubina “Ruby” R. Taylor
1922 – 2015
Miramichi – Rubina “Ruby” Rosella Taylor, widow of the late Lewis Taylor, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Napan Bay, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the age of 93.
Born in Point Aux Carr, on February 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Clara (MacDonald) Watling. She was a homemaker; a retired employee of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home; a dedicated member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a member of the U.C.W. as well as the former Napan Ladies Aid; a member of Rebecca Lodge, #61, Miramichi.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Holland, of Napan Bay; six sons, Dawson (Doris), of Black River Bridge, Carmen (Lorraine), of Napan Bay, Blake (Evelyn), of Napan, Wayne (Betty Anne), of Napan Bay, Murray (Debbie), of Orillia, Ont., Alden (Judy), of Canning, N.S.; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three sisters, Geneva Sweezey, of Napan Bay, Jean Glendenning, of Black River Bridge, Sadie McLenaghan, of Auburnville; four brothers, Robert, Ozzie, Ken (Shirley), Win (Liz) Watling, all of Ontario; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis, in 1998; one son, Kenneth Taylor; one son in law, Blaine Holland; one grandson, Kevin Holland; one sister, Mary Glendenning; seven brothers, Cedric, John, Lawrence, Jimmy, Ernie, Clarence, Geordie Watling.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, Napan, on Friday, August 21, 2015, at 2 pm, conducted by Wendell Gregan. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi.
