Ruth Taylor Comeau

Age 82, of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 17, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown.
Born in Harbour Grace South, NF, she was the daughter of Hunter and Daisy Snelgrove.
Ruth and John enjoyed 30+ years in P.E.I., raising their family and working. During that time, they built their cherished Cumberland cottage to which they returned each summer since retiring to Halifax in 1992. Ruth lovingly enjoyed her long-time Fairview Drive friends, the Bridge Club girls and the Maritime Electric Gang. Ruth had a special attachment to Newfoundland and her family there.
Survived by her husband of 60 years, John; daughter, Margaret Nancy; son, Bradley Frederick (Debbie); sisters, Audrey Platt (David), Joan Steffin (Peter); granddaughters, Courtney and Aleighsha; as well as several nieces and nephews and her extended family in Newfoundland. Predeceased by parents, Hunter and Daisy Snelgrove; brother, Frederick Snelgrove.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, from 1-2 p.m., with memorial service following at 2 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, with reception to follow. Interment in St. John’s Columbarium, Halifax.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
