Passed peacefully away at The Shag Rock Manor, Whiteway surrounded by her loving family on August 17, 2015, Rhoda (Decker) Fost of Heart's Delight, originally of Cook's Harbour, aged 86 years. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald James (Jim) Fost (1974), parents; Eric, and Edna Decker, brother, Lloyd Decker, sister Dorcas, brothers-in-law; Bruce Penny, Allan Hillier, Reg Snelgrove, Rick Porter, Arthur Fost, Hedley Fost, Fred Fost, Johnny Mayo, and Roy Slade, sisters-in-law Mildred Slade and Sadie Fost, son-in-law, Furlin Piercey, and parents-in-law; Charles and Elizabeth Fost. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories to celebrate her life with thanksgiving are; seven daughters; Vida (Tony) Pike, Rita (Cyril) Pike, Mabel (Paul) Ryan, Betty (Ross) Green, Beverly (Gary) Pinsent, Eva (Eugene) Trickett, and Janet Fost, four sons; Eric (Shirley), Gade (Debbie), Ron (Loretta), and Jerry (Patricia), 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Rhoda is also lovingly remembered by her sisters; Sybil Snelgrove, Julia Hillier, Eva Donnelly, and Nellie Porter, brother, Jerry Decker, sisters-in-law; Florence (Joe) Hopkins, and Hilda Mayo, and special friend, Beatrice (Bea) Worthman, as well as a large number of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. Rhoda was a lifelong member and past Grand Mistress of the LOBA. Resting at the S.U.F Lodge, Heart's Delight, with visitation on Wednesday, August 19, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Thursday, August 20, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Heart's Delight, on Friday, August 21, at 2 pm. Interment to follow at St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Heart's Delight. As an expression of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Rhoda's memory may be made to the St. Matthew's Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
