Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, Florence Hillier, age 87, formerly of Grates Cove. Predeceased by parents Minnie Belle and Joseph Janes; brother John; sister Gladys McNeil; and husbands Charlie Hillier and Les Adams. Leaving to mourn sisters: Asceneth (Sue) (John Butt, deceased), Bessie (Doug Sparkes, deceased); special companion and partner Wilfred Folkes and family; special nephews: Graham, Calvin (Bonnie), and Danny Butt; grand-nieces: Stephanie and Natalie Butt; and step-grandson Ross Tansley; as well as other relatives and friends. The family extends thanks to Dr. Lee Horgan and Dr. Andrew Dalton, as well as nurses of 4th Floor, South B at the HSC for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral Service to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 from Barrett's Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
