COMEAU, James Edward - age 80 of Wilmot, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Ottawa, he was a son of the late Alfred and Bernadette (Ryerson) Comeau. Jim was a retired welding instructor, having taught at the Annapolis Valley Regional Vocational School in Middleton. He then volunteered for five years in the computer re-cycling program for schools. Jim enjoyed meeting people at yard sales and Frenchy’s. He is survived by his wife of 57 years the former Mildred Spinney; daughters, Deborah (Richard) Donaldson, Yarmouth and Catherine (Darrell) Lynds, Cold Lake, AB; son, Gregory Comeau, Kingston; grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole and Jennifer and great grandchildren, Brady, Kenzie, Kendall, Sophie, Charlie and Raegan. Visitation was held 7:00PM to 9:00PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448. The funeral service was held 2:00PM Sunday, August 30, 2015 in the Melvern Square United Baptist Church, Rev. Libby Amirault officiated. Interment was in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
