SHAW, CLARENCE
“A FATHER holds his children’s hands for a while…their hearts forever.” It is with deep sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Clarence Jerdon Shaw on August 30, 2015, with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 3, 1933 to the late Oran and Ella (Prosser) Shaw in Woodstock, NB and lived most of his life in Keswick, NB.
Clarence is survived by his children; Brian, Judy Jenkins, Tony (Cathy), Murray McCartney (Monique), Llew McCartney, Allison McCartney, Marilyn Brewer (Brian) and James McCartney, grandchildren; Michelle, Breanna, Julia, Andrew, Chris, Laura, Michael, Stephen, Darwin, several great-grandchildren, two sisters; Velzora McClary, Audrey Legere, two brothers; Earl and Colby, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend, Iva (Graham) Shaw, brothers; Ora and James, sisters; Doris, Stella, Arleen and Winnifred.
Clarence’s passion was his faith in God. He loved to attend church and enjoyed the fellowship of the friends he met, whom were many. He loved his family, cooking, sewing, weekend road trips and a good cup of coffee. Clarence enjoyed reading the bible, singing and playing his guitar.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2pm from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held in the Tracey Mills Baptist Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Gideon’s Bible.
