RICHARD, DARYL
1954 - 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daryl J. Richard, 61, of Moncton, on Monday August 31, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on April 28, 1954 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Gauthier) Richard.
Daryl loved playing guitar and listening to music and his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family and mostly his grandchildren. Daryl was employed by Walmart for many years.
He is survived by his wife for 37 years, Ida (Melanson); two children: Lisa Melanson (David) and Robert, both of Moncton; three grandchildren: Karlee, Rylan and Hadley; his sisters and brothers: Brenda Kingston (Ron), Anne Richard (John Arsenault) and Anita Fitzsimmons (Tim), all of Moncton, Danny of South Rustico, PEI, and Patsy Marriot (Wayne) of Dieppe; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Annette.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff on the palliative floor for their dedication and care provided to Daryl.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until time of funeral.
