Warren Foss

Warren Foss

Foss: Warren Foss passed away April 24, 2015 at the age of 50 years with his loving family by his side. Warren was born October 13, 1964 at Kincaid, SK. to Dave and Edna (Jordet) Foss. He was their last born of three children and their only son. Warren grew up on the farm south of Hazenmore, SK. and attended school in Kincaid. In 1988, Warren married Rosie Billey and they had 3 beautiful children together. Warren’s love for family and friends was undeniable. His joy-of-life led him on many adventures. Warren’s book of life would have us all laughing and crying. He lived life to the extreme. He experienced more in 50 years than most experience in a lifetime. Warren’s mottos were “Don’t take life too serious”, “keep your stick on the ice” and “laugh at yourself once in a while”. Warren worked at many different jobs: farmer’s helper, oil field, road construction, welding, camp cook, moving/delivery services, hotshot, bouncer and trucker to name a few. As Warren’s health began to fail, he became more focused on the farm and fulfilling some of his Father’s dreams, such as having the old Foss barn painted, the deck rebuilt and house painted and the old house moved. In his youth, Warren loved to play hockey, catch gophers and belonged to the 4H Calf Club. In his adult years, Warren spent as much time as he could with his children and his Grandson, Tai. He loved collecting antiques, buying and selling vehicles, phoning family and friends and making new friends. Warren passed away after a lengthy battle with COPD. He is predeceased by his father, Dave Foss. Warren is survived by his children, Mandi (Micah) Marcoux, Cara Dawn and Logan Foss and grandson Tai Foss, mother Edna Foss, sisters Gina (Roger) Deringer and Noreen Foss and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Funeral service, according to the United Church of Canada, was held May 2, 2015 at the Notre Dame d’Auvergne Catholic Church, Ponteix, SK. Internment followed at Aneroid Cemetary and lunch at the Aneroid Hall. Donations in Warren’s memory can be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan. Arrangements entrusted to Ross Funeral Service, Assiniboia, SK. The family of Warren Foss wishes to thank all our family and friends who supported us during Warren’s illness and passing through visits, messages, phone calls, food, flowers, memorial donations and prayers. Special thanks to Harley Foss for the heart felt eulogy, to nephews Jolan Fabbro, Jordan Foss, Ryan Fabbro, Jamie Foss, and friends Kevin Ulm, Ken Longpre, Curtis Achter and Roger Knihnitski who carried Warren to his final resting place, to Neil Gilbert for the beautiful funeral service, to Ross Funeral Service for their professional guidance, to the expert staff of Hutch Ambulance, Assiniboia Union Hospital and Regina Pasqua Hospital, and to the volunteers for the Aneroid Community Hall and Club 50 for the wonderful lunch. Your kindness, prayers and compassion will never be forgotten.
