Surrounded by those that love her, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the age of 20, Brittany Dawn King peacefully made her journey home. To cherish Brittany’s memories are her mom, Monica; her stepdad, Ira Cooke; Brittany’s father, Kenny King; and her brother, Brady. She will also be remembered as a half-sister to Kayleigh and Kody Trainor; stepsister to Samantha and Nicholas Cheverie; special aunt to Sierra Ellis; and very special god-daughter to Tracy Myers and Shane Carver. Brittany will also be fondly remembered by her grandfather, Ernie Gormley, and her grandmother, Florence King. Predeceased by her grandfather, Buddy (James) King. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In memory of Brittany, donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, Unit 5 or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
