Ena C. (MacKay) MacDonald

Ena C. (MacKay) MacDonald, 86, died Thursday, Sept. 10 after a short period of failing health.
She was the wife of the late George D. MacDonald who died in 2013. They were married for 61 years.
She was born in New London, Prince Edward Island, the daughter of the late Daniel and Annie (Folland) MacKay. She moved to the United States in 1956 settling on the south shore and living most of those years in Hanover and Marshfield.
Ena first worked as a telephone operator in New London and later in Summerside. When her children entered in high school, Ena worked at South Shore Lincoln Press and later at the Plymouth Country Board of Realtors.
She was a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Marshfield where she was active in the Ladies Benevolent Society for many years. Ena was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Mahoney and her husband Michael of Marlborough, a daughter-in-law Cheryl MacDonald of Mansfield and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Paul MacDonald and granddaughter Caitlin Mahoney.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Marshfield.
