SHAW, Myrtle Edith Shaw (nee Harrison)
On Thursday, September 3, 2015, Myrtle Edith Shaw (nee Harrison) passed away gently at the age of 104 with her daughter Florence Branson by her side. Myrtle is also survived by her two granddaughters, Vicki Journault (Eugene), Pat Westergard (Allan); seven great-grandchildren, Janine Wasmuth (David), Jessica Journault, Jeffrey Journault (Marina), John Journault, Paul Magee (Kassandra Jones), Kathleen Austring (Tyler), Daniel Magee (Taylor Hoy) and four great-great-grandchildren, Jason Wasmuth, Vanessa Wasmuth, Sullivan Austring and baby Austring (February 2016), one chosen granddaughter, Sharon Tiede and two chosen great-granddaughters, Arielle Tiede and Kazayia Tiede, one niece, Marcia Hutchinson Kennedy and two nephews, Robert Hutchinson (Lucille) and Raymond Anderson. Myrtle was pre-deceased by her husband Langford Shaw (1989), her great-granddaughter, Heather Jean Magee (1994), her granddaughter Bonnie Lee Magee (2006), her son-in-law Happ Branson (2014) two sisters Ruby Hutchinson (Leo), Rose Anderson (Henry) and one brother George Harrison (Eunice). Myrtle’s family will be celebrating her life privately however we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the loving care and genuine friendships she enjoyed while living at the Auxiliary Hospital in St. Paul, Alberta for the past eight years. We would also like to acknowledge the constant friendship of her dear pen pal Donna McConnell of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Finally, we would like to thank Glenwood Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home of Sherwood Park for their assistance and gentle care for our “Gran”.
