Following a heartbreaking battle with vascular dementia, Evelyn Peters (nee Doucette), formerly of North Rustico, aged 87, has passed away.
She leaves to mourn, her children, Nancy (Gene), Glenna, Kenny (Joan), Sandi (Rainer), Donnie (Diane), and daughter-in-law, Carlene; sister-in-law, Marina Doucette; and brother-in-law, Raye Jonah. She was a loving grandma to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Gussie; son, Lloyd; daughter, Joni; granddaughter, Terri-Lee Peters; parents, Wilfred and Hilda (Gallant) Doucette; siblings, Helen, Margaret, Roland, Omer and Roy; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Marshall, Rose, Stephen, Austin, Flo and Ella.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
