It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Weldon Nicholson on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015.
Born in New Waterford on Feb. 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Allen and Kathleen (MacIsaac) Nicholson.
Weldon retired from mining in 1997 and enjoyed watching horse races, working around the yard, and spending time with his family.
Weldon leaves behind his loving wife, Rose (MacLean); two daughters, Natalie (Dave) Wong, Sydney, André (Kyle) Moore, Lewisburg, PA; two grandsons, Caleb & Liam and dog, Toby. Weldon is also survived by brothers, Ray, Bradley, Tony and Greg and sisters, Alice, Myrna and Lorelle.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ray Huntly officiating followed by a luncheon at the parish hall Convent Street. All are welcome.
