Melba Vera Acorn

Melba Vera Acorn, late of Birch Hills, SK passed away on October 10, 2015 in Birch Hills, SK at the age of 96 years. Melba will be lovingly cherished and remembered by her daughter Marlene and her children: Clayton and his children Isaac, Megan, Dannielle, Reece; Candice (Vicki); Clint (Kelly) and their children Tristan, Wyatt, Maverick, and Morgan. Her son-in-law Teddy Ruskowski and his children: Betty Keddy (Darren) and their sons Layton and Hayden; Brenda Felske (Owen) and their children: Karsten (Jennifer), Keltie, Korbin and Kassia; David and his children: Coutney, Stacee (her son Bentlee), Logan and Kale; Marjorie Brachmann (Danny) and their children: Bowin, Danya and Delaney; Joey (Tina) and their children: Hana and Kristopher; and Melanie. Her sisters-in-law: Flo Thorburn, Audrey Spencer, and Hazel Acorn. Melba was predeceased by her husband Wesley, her daughter Shirley Ruskowski, her son-in-law Harvey Cromartie, her parents Vera and William Eaton, and step-father Clinton Thorburn, and all of her siblings: Margaret Tully, Wilda Wicker, Jack Eaton, Isabelle Merrell, Lois Fredrick, Ruth Smith, Robert Thorburn, Keith Thorburn, and Jimmy Thorburn. The Funeral Service for Melba will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 – 2:00 pm, MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 130 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK.
