KEIRSTEAD, MERRITT FREDERICK
1921 – 2015
Merritt Keirstead of Riverview passed away at The Saint John Regional Hospital on October 13, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Born in Norton, NB, on March 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Hartley and Emily (Roberts) Keirstead.
Survived by his son; Frederick Keirstead, daughter; Ruth Spears and his sister-in-law Marguerite Keirstead, grandchildren; Margo, Kathy, Joanne, Dedria and his many nieces and nephews.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his infant daughter Tiffany in 1953, first wife Jane and his wife Alma.
At his request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:00pm.
Donations in Merritt’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
