Rachel Elizabeth Gould, 60, of Waterville, Kings County, formerly of Amherst, Cumberland County, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 in Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Gould. In her younger years, Rachel could always be seen walking around Amherst with her two younger sister and brother either going out for a Coke or getting ice cream or visiting their mother at work. For many years, Rachel attended the Bridge Workshop in Amherst before moving to Sunset Residential in Pugwash and from there to Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre.
She is survived by a sister, Roxann Goodwin, Truro; three brothers, Robert L. (Laura), Cambridge, Ontario; Russ (Marg), Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Rickey (Jackie), Rosthern, Saskatchewan; ten nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Roderick (2003).
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by request. Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Bridge Workshop in Amherst, Sunset Residential in Pugwash, McArthur Wing of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre in Waterville or the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
