POIRIER, LAURIE
Laurie Poirier of College Bridge passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the age of 90. Born in St-Philippe on March 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Vital Poirier and the late Judith Landry.
He worked as a masonry worker for CN until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by his four daughters, Therese Poirier (Louis) of Dieppe, Pauline Price, Aline Poirier (Jean-Paul) and Gérène (Louis-Philippe) Leger all of Memramcook; two sons, Roger (Simonne) Poirier of Breau Creek and Normand (Dolorèse) Poirier of Memramcook East; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Stella (late Roger) Plante of Lachine, Que and Corinne (Edmond) LeBlanc of Dieppe; one brother, Ulysse (Alice) Poirier of Moncton and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Aurore (September 23, 2015); three great grandchildren; four sisters, Yvette, Dora, Lorraine and Patricia and by one brother, Omer.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 21 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
