Douglas Ralston

RALSTON, DOUGLAS H.
1919 - 2015
Douglas Ralston of Woodstock passed away on October 17, 2015 at the Lansdowne Special Care Home. Doug was born on November 27, 1919 in Grafton. He was the son of the late Erwin and Faye (Knox) Ralston and the loving husband of the late Althea (Miller).
Doug is survived by his daughter Sandra (Dwight) Greene and sister-in-law, Ruth. He was predeceased by brothers, Grover (Honey), Harold (Hilda), Donald and Franklin (Sandy).
Doug served his country in WW II in the Royal Canadian Artillery 89th Field Battery. After the war he returned to Grafton and worked as a carpenter until 1964. He then moved his family to Fredericton and worked at ADI Ltd until his retirement. He returned to Woodstock in 1995. He was a great gardener, and loved the simple things in life.
Special thanks to everyone at the Lansdowne Special Care Home. For those who wish to donate in Doug's memory a donation can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Friday, October 30th at Doug's residence, 227 Neilson Street, Woodstock, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at the Rural Cemetery in Woodstock.
