McKnight, Clifford Arthur
1924-2015
Clifford Arthur McKnight passed away quietly in his sleep on October 28th at the Charlotte County Hospital.
Born on January 28th, 1924 on St. David Ridge, the son of Arthur and Marguerite (nee Richardson) McKnight, Clifford was predeceased by both his parents and his first wife, Lila Maida (nee Murphy) McKnight.
Clifford is survived by his wife Mary (nee Sampson) McKnight who lovingly cared for him throughout his final days, his children Hugh McKnight (Joan), Sharon (nee McKnight) Bronson (Michael), Robert McKnight (Bonnie) all of St. Stephen, Gordon McKnight (Pearl) of Eastport, ME, and Brian McKnight (Scott Kitchen) of Portland, ME., and his step-children Nancy Bird (Gary) of Fredericton, Joanne Way (Gordon) of St. Stephen, Heather Russell (Michael) of St. Stephen, and Greg Cloney (Erica) of St. Stephen.
Clifford is also survived by his younger siblings: Vincent McKnight (Dee Kirk) of Orillia, ON, Darrell McKnight (Louise Lavoie) of Fredericton, Dr. Sydney McKnight (Dr. Mary Johnston) of Whistler, BC, and Dr. Marie McKnight (Michael Whitford) of St. David Ridge, NB.
Clifford will be sadly remembered by his nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great step-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Funeral Service will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2 PM . Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to PM.
Interment at St. David Ridge Cemetery, St. David Ridge, NB.
