It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of David Williams, age 62.
He passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2015, at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Middleton, N.S. to the late Charles Williams, David spent most of his younger year in Howie Centre, before settling as a longtime resident of Steep Creek. Having been raised in a stand of hardwood, David was familiar with a hard days work. He was a skilled woodsman and fisherman whose spare time was spent with friends and family outdoors or in the shop. He was also the vice president of the Eddy Point Marine Park Association.
He is survived by his spouse, Joyce Frasier; sons, David (Beth), Blair and Roger (Amanda), all of Howie Centre; grandchildren, Jonathon, Cody, Samantha, Jaxson, Daniel and Amelia; stepmother, Carol Brauer; stepbrother, Wayne Crummey.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles Williams, grandmother, Gertrude Williams, granddaughter, Jillian Whelan; grandson, Morgan Williams, stepsister, Joan Cairns.
In lieu of a service, there will be a celebration of David's life for family and friends at his home in Steep Creek on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, from 5-7 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green's Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
