VALLÉE, Léonard
1928 – 2015
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Léonard Vallée on October 29, 2015. Léonard was born on the family homestead in Laventure, SK. He was the seventh of nine children. Léonard spent his childhood on the family farm and moved to Prince Albert as a young adult where he married and started his family. The family moved and farmed in the Spiritwood area for a few years. In 1967, the family relocated to Saskatoon where he began a multifaceted career that included selling World Book encyclopedias, owning his own transportation company – Léonard’s Transport, and being a heavy duty mechanic. Dad loved life and enjoyed family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was multitalented in the area of mechanics and construction, there was nothing he couldn’t do. He loved music and was a talented musician and enjoyed entertaining family with his guitar, violin or harmonica as well as his voice. Léonard is survived by his wife Joyce; his children Gerald Clouthier (Linda) and their children Nicole (Colin), Danielle (Adrian); Elaine Cutforth (Lee) and their children Victoria (Mike), Alexandra, and Elizabeth; Michael Vallée (Joanne) and their children Vanessa (Bill), Ryan and Shelley; Philip Vallée (Veronica) and their child André; Yvette Evans (Neil) and their children David (Amy), Reena (Bryce) and Arielle; and Marc Vallée (Karen) and their child Matthew and his great grandchildren. Léonard is also survived by four sisters Florence, Lauretta, Marie-Ange and Katannya and one brother Fr. Hervé; as well as Joyce’s children David Morrison (Daniel), Ken Morrison (Jackie) and their children Aaron, Amanda and Briana, Frank Morrison (Marlen) and their children Casandra (Emiliano) and Marlene, Carla Mysko (Paul) and their children Allison and Andrew, and her great grandchildren. Léonard was predeceased by his parents Louis and Evelinia, a sister Anna and two brothers Orian and Adélard. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri (1902 Munroe Avenue South) on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Donations in Léonard’s memory may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation (610 Duchess Street, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2T4).
