MacDonald, M. Shirley
Shirley MacDonald passed peacefully on November 2, 2015 at the Rosewood Care Center in Inverness, IL. Shirley leaves behind her daughter, Kirsten Jensen Higashikawa (Masahiko) of Inverness, IL, grandson Alexander Craig Lewis of Hampton Falls, NH, sister June Donovan of Manchester, MA., brother George Bernard MacDonald of Charlottetown, PEI and many loving nieces and nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Lewis of Hampton Falls, N.H., her brothers Joseph MacDonald and Al MacDonald of Ottawa, Canada. She was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on August 18, 1927 to Charles and Adele MacDonald. Shirley attended Notre Dame and Mount St. Vincent Academies. She graduated from Prince of Wales College, PEI and earned her Registered Nursing degree at the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing, Beverly MA. Shirley loved swimming, skiing, and traveling. Her travels took her all around the world, but her heart was always in Prince Edward Island. A private memorial service was held in Manchester, MA.
