Margaret "Peggy" James

JAMES, MARGARET ARMSTRONG "PEGGY"
After a long battle with cancer Peggy passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen, NB. on Friday, November 20th, 2015; Peggy was a mother, grandmother and the wife of the late Charles David “Dave” James of St. Andrews, NB. Born in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rachel (Armstrong) Dunn.
In her earlier years, Peggy’s first love being the owner & proprietor of an antique shop in Bayside known as “The Odd Spot”. She returned to working outside the home at the Scotiabank and continued her favorite hobby of refinishing furniture in her spare time. She later went on to become manager of the Tourist Bureau in Bayside. Peggy’s passion in life was gardening and she spent her retirement years in her many beautiful gardens.
Peggy is survived by two grandchildren Gemma Elizabeth James and Andrew Duncan James, three sons Mark David (Dawn) James, Frank Matthew James and Gary William (Judy) James, sister Elizabeth MacKenzie (Budd) of Saint John, NB, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wonderful circle of friends.
By Peggys’ request there will be no visitation, however friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Friday, November, 27th, 2015 at 2:00 pm at All Saints Anglican Church, King Street, St. Andrews, NB. A reception of friends and family will immediately follow at the Harmony House, 46 Reed Ave., St.Andrews. For those attending this celebration of her life Peggy made a special request that everyone wear bright colors.
