Danielle Rogers
Danielle Marion Rogers age 22 of MacLellan’s Mountain and Antigonish passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow on May 4, 1993 she was a daughter of Dennis and Judith (Ladriere) Rogers of MacLellan’s Mountain.
Danielle grew up in MacLellan’s Mountain and was very involved in Highland Dancing. She loved to play the piano and fiddle and was a very close friend to Fleur. She was a graduate of North Nova High School in New Glasgow and was currently a nursing student at ST. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. Danielle was active in Big Brothers Big Sisters and loved to spend time with her little sister Meagan DeYoung.
She is survived by her parents Dennis and Judith (Ladriere) Rogers, MacLellan’s Mounatin; brother Brett, Fredericton, NB; maternal-grandmother Marion Ladriere, MacLellan’s Mountain; paternal-grandmother Jeanette Rogers, Sherbrooke Road; loving companion Mitch Gammon, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her maternal-grandfather John Ladriere, paternal-grandfather Frank Rogers, uncle George Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday November 25, 2015 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Jeff Lackie and Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Burial will be in the Thorburn Cemetery.
