A very independent woman.
Arriving in Canada from her home in Switzerland 32 years ago, at the young age of 60, Martha had responded to an ad to become a companion and caregiver to a widower on Trail island. Then she moved to her home on Browning Road, where she has lived for the last 24 years.
She leaves behind her sister, niece and husband, and many friends who remember Martha best for her charity.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Happy Cat Haven or the SPCA would be appreciated.
