Passed peacefully away at Masonic Park Nursing Home, Mount Pearl on Monday, November 30, 2015. Effie Pope, formerly of Fogo, age 89 years 8 months. Predeceased by her husband: Stewart (1991). Leaving to mourn her son: Sterling (Shelia); daughters: Geraldine Pope, Phyllis Shelley (Chris), Verna Harnett (Ivan); grandchildren: Christa Shelley, Amanda Healey (Robert), Adam Pope (Katie), Nancy Stacey (Greg) and Christopher Pope; great grandchildren: Meala Pope, Alexander and Emily Stacey. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave, Mt. Pearl on Friday, December 4, 2105 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1180 Kenmount Road.
