Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, of the Community Hospital O'Leary, on Friday, December,4 2015, with her loving family by her side of Mae Mary Gallant, beloved wife of the late Gerald Gallant of Tignish Shore, age 90 years. Born at Tignish Shore on August 24,1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia (nee Doucette) Pitre. Lovingly remembered by her children, Russell (Aurella) Gallant of Tignish, Victor (Robin) of Tignish, Clarence (Mary) of Broderick Road, Austie (Valerie) of Alberton, Aldona (Blair) Rayner of Greenmount, Stephen (Nadine) of Harper Road, John Wayne (Blanche)of Summerside, Helen (Wyatt) Jeffery of Broderick Road, Irma (Ronnie) McRae of Tignish Shore, Leslie (Linda) of Tignish Shore. She will be sadly missed by her 32 grandchildren, her 34 great grandchildren, 2 step granddaughter, 9 step great grandsons and by 14 step great grandchildren. She is also survivied by a brother Hector, (Annie) Pitre of Tignish Shore and by a sister Theresa Carr of Tignish. She was predeceased by children, Brenda, Norman and Phillip, grandsons, Allison Gallant, Clarence Gallant, son in law, Sidney Getson and by brothers, Ralph, Gussie and Joseph. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev.Brendon Gallant celebrant.
